What Kids Sports Believes About Safety
The Child Protection Act 1999 (section 9) states:
Harm to a child is any detrimental effect of a significant nature on the child’s physical, psychological, or emotional wellbeing
It is immaterial how the harm is caused.
Harm can be caused by physical, psychological or emotional abuse or neglect or sexual abuse/exploitation.
Kids Sports is committed to putting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people first and foremost, in all of its programs, at all times. It commits to ensure that children and young people in its care are protected from all harm.
Kids Sports has policy and documentation available for parents/carers or schools in relation to its safety and risk management practices.
Equal Treatment of Children
All children regardless of race, culture, religion, gender, disability, physical ability, sporting ability, fitness level or body shape can participate in a Kids Sports session.
KS Teachers/Supervisors display fair and equal treatment of all children regardless of race, culture, religion, gender, disability, physical ability, sporting ability, fitness level, body shape within a Kids Sports session.
Integration
