These partnerships are strengthened when Kids Sports and schools work together to apply for various Government grants which enable the school to receive free Kids Sports programs. The wealth of teaching skills, knowledge and experience that Kids Sports enjoys is extremely beneficial in school settings in a number of ways…
- Professional Development for Teachers - The ‘teacher-friendly’ nature of the Kids Sports program, makes it ideal for up-skilling teachers to provide the recommended physical activity requirements for their students.
- Teaching resources – Updated Inclusive Physical Activity Manuals which can be used for a whole school approach to Inclusive Physical Activity.
- After School Programs – run by teachers and provides physical activity sessions that are fun and motivating for all children. An Alternative to traditional sports.
- School Fun Days – Fun Active and Healthy Programs for your next fete, BBQ or Fun Day. Reward your school community with a healthy, active and FUN reward.
- Website links – Inform your school community of all the FREE Active and Healthy community programs available in their local area.
- The Walking School Bus - linking students from school to the free Council-funded Kids Sports session in their local park.
